Can it possibly be November already? Really,
where does the time go?! I guess we were a
bit deceived this year because Mother Nature
has convinced us that summer would last
forever, and given the state of global events,
or planetary evolution, we might just start
skipping fall in Kentucky from now on and
head straight into winter.
In any event, here we are just weeks away from Thanksgiving and by the time you read this, the advertisers will have us believe that Christmas is here as well. For those of us in the Deli, November begins a mad rush that keeps us at a marathoners pace through December to the end of the year.
Before it consumes me, I would like to take a pause and say thanks to all of you who come here and support us. This has been a great year. We have launched our web site and promoted our deli club, to which we continue to get a great response. We have committed to our newsletter, "Yadda Yadda" and our Frank Says monthly promotions, for which we have also received great feedback, and business is very strong.
I love this time of year because it makes me appreciate so much the wonderful support and relationship we have with our customers. I hear good things all over town, and I love that you count on us as your regular hangout for lunch. Our staff loves it, too. They get such great joy out of being connected to all of you, and it shows in the great service that they provide. So before we all get caught up in the madness that is "The Holidays" let me say, thank you for your support.

When my daughter was born, I wanted her to
have a name that was strong, yet different, I
wanted her to draw confidence from a name that
suggested creativity, and I wanted her to also have a family name.
We named her Summer because she was born on June 21st, and Gloria after my mother-in-law, Gloria Shrader, who is a renaissance woman to be sure, a real maverick, and a tremendous role model. So the Summer's Glorious Club is a tribute to my daughter, who, in daddy's eyes, is spectacular.
